Our First Day At Palo Duro Canyon.....RAIN!

Hey! Let's go up in that cave!

Ok....here we go. What's a little mud?

After this picture, Josh was no longer allowed in the truck...he rode in the bed of the truck...he slid all the way back down the side of the canyon wall. It was fun, but he was covered in red mud!

I little bit of rain was not going to stop us from exploring this awesome canyon!

Even in the rain it was beautiful!

Labor Day Week End-Palo Duro Canyon!!!!

For Labor Day Week end we went to Palo Duro Canyon, near Amarillo, Texas.
It was so awesome! God's handywork took our breath away every time we looked!

We packed up and headed out to tent camp at the canyon, but after we drove 6 hours in the rain,it was real muddy and still raining in the canyon. This is the campsite, unfortunately, the fire ants did not mind the rain at all.

We decided that perhaps a cabin would be the better choice, so we would have a dry place to sleep and eat. Wow, God is so good to us! the cabin was so cool, very rustic, but it had AC, a bedroom w/ ceiling fan, a fireplace, and a fire ring and grill for cooking over the open campfire. It was built into the side of the canyon, really neat!

And as far as the view from our cabin.....breathtaking! We felt so blessed that it was so rainy, because we would've missed out on the cabin experience if the weather was better.

FAITH DAY AT AMERIQUEST FIELD

Here we are at the pre-game MERCY ME concert on "Faith Night" at Ameriquest Field.
These are our friends from church, Matt and Beverly Thorpe, and their kids, Rebecca and Brandon. About 25 people from our Sunday school class went to the game together, we had a great time. Especially, those of us who were cheering on the Indians!

And here is Jake and Josh at the game against the Cleveland Indians. WOO HOO the Indians beat the Rangers 6-5!!!!!
